Questions
Anything else, email us. A person answers.
- What's a suey?
- A washer all the way in the centre cup. Three points and the right to yell it.
- How much and how many?
- $40 per two-player team, 16 teams max, 3 guaranteed games each.
- When should we arrive?
- Registration and check-in run 12:00 to 12:45 PM. First toss at 1:00 PM sharp. Late teams risk forfeiting their spot to the standby list.
- Do we need to be good?
- No. Half the fun of a founders field is finding out who's secretly deadly from 21 feet.
- How do payouts work?
- Cash on the podium right after the final: $250 / $150 / $100, plus trophies and participation medals.
- What if it rains?
- The beer garden plays through ordinary weather. Lightning pauses play for 30 minutes after the last strike, and the format compresses if the afternoon demands it.
- Can spectators come?
- Please. It's a bar with a tournament in it. Bring the crew.
- Is this connected to a bigger tournament?
- Very. This is the founding event of Ruby's Washer Toss. Next August the full Classic comes to Miramichi with a 72-team field, and founding teams get first call when registration opens. Mike's Bar & Grill is hosting year zero, which is exactly the kind of thing you remember at renewal time.
