Three stages

Pools, the cut, the eight

  1. 1

    Pool play

Four pools of four, drawn at check-in. Round robin inside your pool: three games, everybody throws all afternoon. Games to 21, cancellation scoring, win by 2, 20-minute courtesy cap in pools.

  2. 2

    The cut

Standings rank on wins, then head-to-head, then point differential. Top two from each pool cross into the bracket; A1 draws B2, B1 draws A2, and so on. No first-round pool rematches.

  3. 3

    Championship bracket

Eight teams, single elimination: quarterfinals, semifinals, a third-place game, and the final. No time cap in the bracket. Cash and trophies on the podium right after.

The day, drawn out

How the board resolves

Placeholder names until pools are drawn at check-in. The top 2 in each pool (in gold) cross into the bracket, and no first-round rematches from your own pool.
